Herald Cancer Care Network
The care for cancer patients has become a significant concern
for the Chinese community. Statistics show that cancer is the leading
cause of death among Chinese. Here in North America, Chinese are
actually more vulnerable to cancer due to Westernization of their diet
and life style. Support is sorely needed for the growing number of
Chinese cancer patients. Their families also need help. These patients
are physically inflicted and emotionally traumatized. Furthermore,
language barrier is making it difficult for them to receive adequate
health care and community resources. In view of this, Chinese Christian
Herald Crusades (CCHC) has launched new services to provide Christian
care to these cancer patients and their families, regardless of their
religious or socioeconomic background.
Our Goals
- Provide the following free services, through trained
volunteers, to Chinese cancer patients and their families:
- cancer information and community resources
- cancer website: cancer.cchc.org
- telephone care
- home visits
- translation service
- emotional and spiritual support
- Train Chinese Christian caregiver volunteers and provide
the resources they need
- Assist Chinese churches to form caring teams to support cancer
patients
You may support these services by:
- becoming a prayer partner
- receiving training to become a caregiver volunteer
- making a donation
If you wish to make a donation, please make your check payable
to CCHC, designated for ‘Cancer Ministry’, and send
it to Emery Kong, 211 Topaz Street, Milpitas, CA 95035, USA. A
receipt will be sent to you for tax purpose.
