About Us
|
Herald Cancer Care Network (HCCN) is a cancer patient service program of the Herald International (HI), which is now applying for its 501(c)(3) status. HCCN is based in Milpitas, California.
Our mission is to provide emotional support to cancer patients in the San Francisco Bay Area, regardless of their religious or socioeconomic background. We also provide them with reliable information on cancer and make them aware of community resources available to them.
We have Mandarin, Cantonese, and Taiwanese-speaking volunteers who are trained on caring skills and are sensitive to the patients’ cultural, language, social and religious backgrounds. Through compassionate listening and support, we walk with cancer patients through the darkest days of their journeys to lift their spirit and give them the gift of hope.
